The position we are offering is that of a Lead Network Cabling Technician Role with a hourly pay up to $25 per hour based on experience.
This position reports to Michael Stephens, President | Infrastructure Technologies and Jason Pike, President | Infrastructure Cabling. Your working hours will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday with the possibility of early start, late start, late work and weekend work as work load determines. This is a permanent full time position.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Lead Telecommunications Technician, the responsibilities will be as follows:
- Perform cabling installation for low voltage technologies
- Service, troubleshoot and install many different cabling technologies such as Fiber Optics, Category 6A, Category 6, Category 5e and many others.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
- Manage daily call activity and Work well in a team environment.
- Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Neatness of work and precise documentation
- Ability to follow direction and utilize talents to benefit employee as well as Midwest Acutech
- Manage Local work load as well as other technicians at site.
- Service, Install and Maintain Door Access Hardware and components, Video Surveillance Systems, Premise Security Systems and others.
Requirements:
A High School Diploma
Valid Driver’s License
Legal Resident
Low Voltage and/or electrical experience is preferred.

Bonus Structure:
We currently offer commission based sales. A commissioned sale includes cold sales, adding services/products to customers that weren’t otherwise within the scope of work, new services, etc. Commissions are paid at a rate of 10% of the profits made after the sale is final and paid for by the customer.
Annual Reviews:
We have a review annually to verify your pay structure, potential wage increase as well as a performance evaluation. Any wage increase is determined on many factors including but not limited to performance, customer service, professionalism, company growth and profitability. All reviews will be completed by Jason Pike and Michael Stephens as your supervisors. All information is confidential and will be filed in the employees permanent record.
Benefits Information:
Vacation - 2 weeks per annum
Probation Period – 90 days from start date to be determined by employee and Midwest Acutech. Once the 90 day probationary period has been completed, a review will take place to determine if a raise is warranted. A typical raise for this review is $0.00 to $1.00 per hour.
Benefits will begin 90 days after hire date

Paid Holidays:
We offer 7 paid holidays per annum. They include January 1st, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day following Thanksgiving, Christmas. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday before will be recognized as a holiday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday after will be recognized as a holiday.
Retirement:
Midwest Acutech currently offers retirement partial matching to employees after being employed for 3 full years. This benefit is scheduled to change at any time based on company growth, annual revenue or any unforeseen circumstance
Cell Phone Reimbursement per pay period
Travel:
Traveling for our company is a requirement based on our customer needs. Every employee and Member of Midwest Acutech is expected to travel. All travel is paid for by Midwest Acutech either on a company paid credit card or reimbursement if necessary. All receipts are required to be turned in for credit card purchases and any reimbursement.
Company Vehicles:
Vehicles are provided and insured by Midwest Acutech. If for some reason a vehicle is unavailable and the employee has to provide their own, a reimbursement rate will be compensated to the employee based on the state mileage rate. This is currently $0.56 per mile and is subject to change anytime.
