- Educates patients on oral healthcare and the prevention of dental problems
- Examines teeth and diagnoses patients’ dental conditions
- Assesses treatment options and presents treatment plans to patients
- Documents risk assessment and records findings for, but not limited to, oral cancer screening, periodontal screening/charting and caries risk
- Considers appropriate interventions based on risk and reinforces recommendations made to support diagnoses
- Provides clinical treatments
- Maintains patient dental records
- Keeps apprised of new developments through structured continuing professional development
- Markets services to potential clients
- Detects disease with appropriate screening and assessment tools
- Refers patients to orthodontists or other dental specialists for more advanced procedures and care when appropriate
- Selects appropriate materials and equipment for dental treatment
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to OSHA infection-control policies
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential and adhering to HIPAA privacy policies
- Follows all Standard Operating Procedures and other guidelines in accordance with the employee handbook and state statutes/rules

Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) required.
About:
The compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $370,000 per year
