Job Description:
The Swim Lesson Coordinator oversees the swim lesson program at Midwest Pool Management facilities in and around the Kansas City metro. The Swim Lesson Coordinator is responsible for supervising daily operations of lessons, creating and implementing swim instructor training, and providing information to the public about the program. Swim lessons are conducted throughout the week at multiple facilities.
Essential Functions:
The Swim Lesson Coordinator will oversee instructors at multiple pools for swim lesson classes, plan ahead for upcoming sessions to ensure minimal disruptions, and ensure appropriate student to instructor ratio. They will develop training and lead and mentor staff during day to day operations while providing feedback to improve skills and teaching techniques. Swim Lesson Coordinator will communicate effectively with swim instructors, pool management and office staff and will document and assist with disciplinary actions. They will be able to provide feedback and suggest improvements in operations, training, staffing as well as policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous swim lesson instructor experience required
- WSI certification preferred
- Outgoing and energetic personality with proven written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, team driven attitude
- Experience working with students with different ages, skill levels and varying physical and emotional abilities
- Ability to effectively lead a team
- Works will with other staff members and to the public
- RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
- You must be 18 years old
- A working and reliable cell phone with a camera and photo receiving/sending capabilities
- Ability to follow GPS maps
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Available May-September, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
