What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Talent position at Mighty?
Reporting to the CEO, Mighty’s VP of Talent Acquisition will take ownership of scaling our organization as we grow at a rapid pace. As a key member of the leadership team you will be responsible for setting hiring strategies, identifying and attracting diverse talent across all our functions, and building and managing our recruitment team. You’re someone who is passionate about incorporating data into all hiring decisions, building structured interview processes that reduce bias, and educating leadership and hiring managers on best practices in recruitment, sourcing, and employer branding. You are a natural relationship builder who is capable of coaching hiring managers and playing an advisory role when developing hiring strategies based on your market knowledge and industry trends.
What you’ll do:
- Work with Mighty’s leadership team to define people growth strategies for 2022 and beyond
- Develop and maintain best in class recruitment processes to attract and win top talent
- Be a partner to all hiring managers by providing visibility around recruitment metrics, talent acquisition strategies, and interview processes
- Ensure that the talent team is staffed to meet hiring goals
- Coach and mentor new and existing team members
- Take direct ownership of recruitment efforts for senior-level roles
We want to hear from you if you:
- Have 8 years of recruitment experience, including within high-growth tech startups, with at least 4 years experience managing teams
- Have extensive experience hiring top-tier, VP level talent across technical and non-technical roles
- Have previously scaled early stage startups as they’ve undergone rapid growth
- Have experience leading and scaling Talent Acquisition teams Are a proven people manager and organizational leader
- Have experience building long-term, innovative and forward-thinking talent acquisition strategies
- Are data-driven
- Are collaborative, communicative, and proactive
