Role Overview:
This is a central Continuous Improvement / Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx) leadership role that sits within the Mark Anthony Brewing Manufacturing Team and is responsible for executing the ManEx program framework deployment across our three breweries. This role will provide continuous improvement leadership, training, and support to implement the ManEx values within the brewery and will be accountable for driving improvement in performance & productivity while building a sustainable Manufacturing Excellence program that delivers breakthrough performance improvement and builds capability & efficiency within the brewery team.
Position Responsibilities & Requirements
- Run Build - executes departmental tools, systems, business cases, reporting, business processes and resourcing plans.
- Provides day to day coaching, mentorship, training and direction to others related to performance and development.
- Provide leadership and strategic thinking to implement a continuous improvement culture; drive the sustainability and adoption of ManEx tools and practices throughout all departments of manufacturing.
- Implement Best Practices/Standards focused on driving performance, including formal root cause failure analysis, loss analysis, structured communication, and performance improvement.
- Work closely with the site leadership, People Operations, and other functions to deploy ManEx through training and implementing of the Mark Anthony Performance System (MAPS); manage manufacturing execution and implementation of continuous improvement principles.
- Coach and develop change agents at all levels from operator to plant leadership and lead cultural change to deliver sustainable performance improvement.
- Assure adoption of ManEx standards and best in class practices as defined, developed, and established within our ManEx framework
Qualifications, Education, & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, or related field
- Minimum 6 years demonstrated success in a lean manufacturing operations or continuous improvement role.
- Exhibits outstanding team building skills and ability to influence indirectly.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have previous experience leading kaizen events and/or continuous improvement projects.
- Kaizen facilitation and/or continuous improvement project leadership ability
- Strong analytical skills, advanced MS Excel user, familiar with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau/Power BI), with the ability to quantify project results and business impact.
- Ability to identify root cause and implement corrective/preventive actions using standard tools such as 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone or Process FMEA.
- Ability to influence without authority, train/coach, and drive successful adoption of common operational excellence tools and methods.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree
Technical Certification (preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt certification, with demonstrated experience leading projects preferred.
