What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Specialist/Forklift Operator position at MILES ALLOYS INC?
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for executing activities of employees concerned with receiving, inventory, retrieving, issuing, processing, and shipping of material(s) for Miles Alloys. This person will also be responsible for ensuring warehouse employees are actively engaged and meet daily customer demand and production schedule within specified productivity, quality, and safety standards.
The Warehouse Supervisor will be a full time position, weekdays only 7:30am-4:30pm based out of the office/warehouse in Cleveland, OH.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day operations and provides daily support to drivers, and staff ensuring quality, safety, efficiency, performance and profitability.
- Help develop operational and growth strategies to stay competitive and lead the market in scrap metal and waste recycling
- Help establish budget and operating metrics while implementing and improving processes, procedures, and performance.
- Maintains a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to safety policies, assessing and eliminating hazards, and conducting timely accident/incident investigations, including the implementation of corrective action to prevent future accidents
- Supervise operational staff and coordinate workflow and assignments toward the achievement of daily operational goals
- Manage disposal facility vendors and truck brokerage relationships
- Must have basic knowledge of fleet management, industry equipment & maintenance needs, setting up & maintaining a service schedule for company owned equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three (3) years experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required which includes background with inventory systems, productivity measurements, and material handling equipment
- Minimum three (3) years Metals or Waste Management industry experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead others and managing performance and execution
- Leader with facilitating teamwork and collaboration
- Creative, innovative and strategic thinker with proven problem resolution skills and process improvement techniques
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products and Windows-based applications
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and solve operational problems and opportunities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
