Position: Experienced Loan Officer (VA Loan Specialist) looking to build and manage a team

Location: CA

Responsibilities:

• Loan Origination: Efficiently manage the entire loan origination process, from application to closing, ensuring a smooth and timely experience for clients.

• Management: Manage and grow a team of loan officers

• Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their financial goals and guide them through the mortgage application process.
• VA Loan Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of VA loan programs, eligibility criteria, and documentation requirements to effectively assist military veterans and active-duty service members.
• Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance standards, ensuring all loan transactions adhere to legal and company guidelines.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain a well-organized pipeline of loans in various stages, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders on loan status.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including processors, underwriters, and closers, to facilitate a seamless and efficient loan process.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Loan Officer, with a focus on VA loans and has an average production record of 2 million a month.

• License: Active NMLS license is required. DRE or CaDFPI

• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of VA loan programs, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to clients.

• Customer Focus: A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with clients.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with mortgage origination software and other relevant tools.

• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to achieve common goals.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify and resolve challenges throughout the loan process.
