JOB OVERVIEW
The Counter Staff provides the customers with an exceptional experience by implementing Milk Bar’s standards of service, product quality, and cleanliness. They live our mission in every customer interaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a commitment to service by prioritizing the guest experience and creating personalized moments.
- Ensure smooth day to day operations during the shift. Foster and promote a strong work culture and #MilkBarLife, and uphold brand service standards.
- Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embody our core values, inspire celebration, and create real magic. Serve as a brand ambassador both internally and externally.
- Responsible for the preparation of the most delicious Milk Bar products, always prioritizing taste and quality.
- Routinely stocks merchandise and faces items on shelves
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, SIC, or Key Holder
- Performs product audits daily
- Constantly communicate with other co-workers, and other departments of Milk Bar via phone and emails in particular.
- Comply with DOH regulations and Milk Bar GMP standards when performing cleaning tasks, preparing food and beverages, and working behind the counter. Follow company dress code and hygiene practices and standards. Adhere to any current and future Covid19 related regulations.
- Operate a touchscreen POS, and accurately and efficiently handle transactions.
- Relay menu knowledge and company information to customers via phone and in person.
- Troubleshoot any and all product and equipment issues that occur.
- Manage time efficiently on shift by following checklists and prompts from previous shifts.
- Work closely with the Bakery team members, giving constructive feedback to the team, and always thinking about improvements.
- Maintain an organized, clean and appealing Bakery. Consistently work on improving these areas.
Please note that job duties are subject to change at the Bakery’s discretion.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years in a food industry/customer service facing job preferred.
- Personable and enjoys working with the guests.
- Passion for food, sweets and coffee - big plus.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 25 lbs and remain in a stationary position for shifts.
- Regular in-person attendance is an essential function and requirement of this position.
