Job Details
We are looking for Licensed Massage Therapists who can commit to a minimum of three (3) scheduled shifts during February 4th - February 21st. This includes a minimum of one (1) weekend and Valentine's Day.

Seasonal Licensed Massage Therapist shifts are available at our Culver City/Brentwood locations.

Position Summary:
The Massage Therapist performs a full spectrum of massage, body treatments and complementary treatments for spa clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:

The ability to perform a wide range of impeccable massage and body therapies following milk honey protocols, including:
-
All massage services including prenatal and couples
-
All body treatments (after 3 months)
-
All enhancements (time and no time)
-
Seasonal services, new launch specials and promotions
-
Optional: specialty massages
-

Dedication to keeping current on any licensing changes and abiding to all rules and regulations associated with license, including renewals, CEs and regulations regarding the display of your license

Obtaining client health history through use of client intake forms and/or addendums, assessing problems and conditions and consulting with client on recommended treatments, intake forms should be returned to the front desk by the end of each shift

Recording detailed notes for all clients in the computer, within 48 hours of appointment date, including contraindications, allergies, medications, formulations used and treatment preferences and any notable client information

Actively participating in sales and marketing events inside and outside of the spa

A commitment to participating in assigned tasks that are designed to grow therapist business and create repeat client requests

Staying up-to-date and educated on spa retail products and proactively promoting these products to spa clients

Maintaining correspondence with clients, including writing thank you notes and other treatment follow up communications to develop and retain repeat clients

Completing side work and closing duties as directed by Department Head or Manager

The willingness to adhere to all Attendance and Punctuality policies in the handbook
Qualifications and Experience:

State Massage Therapy License

Must have schedule availability to include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Natural ability to sell and educate clients on products and treatments
Special Considerations:

Must be able to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift

Sensitivity to unnecessary waste of product and a willingness to act to reduce waste

Must be able to hear so as to effectively understand customers needs
-
Must communicate and receive permission from clients to perform any stretching or modality that will include climbing on the table during the service

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
