Job Title: Landscape, Hardscape, and Construction Crew Member
Job Overview:
Mill Brothers is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our construction and hardscape team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, have knowledge of landscape construction and hardscape installation, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. This role involves a combination of physical labor, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to contribute to the successful completion of various outdoor projects.
Responsibilities:
Hardscape Installation- Execute the installation of various hardscape features such as patios, steps, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, proper elevations, and hardscape features and materials placement.
Landscape Construction- Work with various tools and equipment to construct and build various outdoor landscape features such as kitchens, fire pits/fireplaces, pergolas, planter boxes, screen walls, fencing, and other outdoor structures.
Low Voltage Lighting- Install and wire various low-voltage lighting and transformers. Perform diagnosis and troubleshooting on low-voltage systems.
Snow Removal- Participate in snow removal operations during winter months with various equipment or by hand.
Safety and Equipment Maintenance- Adhere to safety guidelines and practices to ensure a safe and secure working environment. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
Client Interaction- Interact professionally with clients while representing the company positively. Address concerns and ensure customer satisfaction with all completed projects.
Team Collaboration- Collaborate with other crews, team members, and project managers to ensure seamless workflow and project completion. Communicate effectively and contribute ideas to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the project.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated longevity in previous employment.
- A valid driver's license with a driving record insurable with company insurance.
- Proficient in the installation of various hardscape materials.
- The ability to interpret and follow landscape design and construction plans.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow directions from project managers.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certifications in the landscape or hardscape industry is a plus.
