What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender / Mixologist position at Mill House Brewing Company?
Our next team player is outgoing and personable with a passion for customer service, food, and beer culture. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of bartending experience within a high-volume restaurant. The Bartender is a representative of MHBC, the face of the company while guests are eating and drinking. We’re looking for someone who is organized, punctual, has strong customer service skills and can handle working in a fast paced environment with an “I’ve got this” mentality.
*Please note, this is an hourly rate AND tipped position. Your tips will come from the bartender tip pool. Current bartender average is roughly $30 per hour including hourly rate, credit card & cash tips*
Responsibilities include:
- Main duty is to provide a high quality dining experience for each and every guest
- Reliable, hard-working, fun, creative, driven, and passionate. We are a high volume restaurant that requires a good head and calm demeanor
- Greeting all guests at the bar
- Experience with cocktail fundamentals and basic cocktail building; ex: Old Fashion, Martini, Cosmo, Mojito, etc.
- Ability to create and curate new, seasonal, and speciality cocktails
- Knowledge of all menus, ex: food, cocktails, beer, wine, desserts, etc.
- We are a brewery, so knowledge of beer styles and types is a plus
- Ability to recommend appropriate food and beverage items at the table but also upselling to-go beer and food, swag items, and gift cards
- Great customer service and ability to handle high-volume and high-pressure situations.
- Capability to work on POS system for all food and beverage orders
- Accuracy in taking orders and placing them in the POS system
- Works extremely well independently but also as a team. Must take initiative on the floor during down time.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour
