Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor use and misuse of prescription medications and illicit drugs. The testing is used by healthcare professionals to obtain objective information about patients' recent use of prescription medications and/or illicit drugs and helps monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans. Millennium Health provides clinicians with resources and clinically actionable information to support improved clinical decision-making as part of treatment for millions of Americans with chronic pain, mental illness, substance use disorders, and other health conditions. Millennium Health also conducts real-time tracking of emerging drug use trends to help researchers, public health officials, and policymakers address the significant increase in drug overdose deaths.

General Summary

Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will develop, publish, and execute acceptance test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed web applications throughout the full lifecycle of the software.

Essential Functions

• Work cross-functionally to ensure individual quality and testing needs are met. Update status regularly during testing cycles.

• Implement quality assurance practices and procedures, acceptance test plans and other QA assessments.

• Document standards and best practices

• Ensure that all items follow the change management process and are entered and tracked through the change management software.

• Work directly with appropriate personnel to understand project concepts, objectives, and approaches.

• Help to define scope of all levels of QA testing.

• Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, and automation testing.

• Establish the purpose and deliverables of the test effort.

• Identify, escalate, and help resolve issues that impede testing efforts.

• Ensure the intent of a requirement is satisfied.

• Collaborate with development during all stages of projects to provide in process testing results.

• Track and adequately report defects using appropriate tools to allow developers to resolve the problem.

• Track and troubleshoot issues reported by users, work with Help Desk personnel and perform application support as needed

• Regular and reliable attendance

Qualifications

Education

• BS degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience testing web based, distributed applications on Windows platforms.

• Experience writing acceptance test plans or test scripts based on requirements.

• Experience with Test Management tools

• Experience documenting issues and working with developers to resolve issues.

• HIPAA compliance experience strongly desired

• HL7 interface testing experience a plus

• Lab information systems experience a plus

• Experience working with APIs and Microservice frameworks.

• Experience working with relational databases

POTENTIAL HIRING RANGE:

• $100,000.00 - $110,000.00
