Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the commercial estimating process, from project bid preparation to cost analysis and value engineering. You will play a key role in ensuring the profitability of our commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction plans, specifications, and blueprints to accurately estimate project costs.
• Conduct thorough research to obtain current market pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and engineers to ensure all project requirements are incorporated into the estimate.
• Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed and competitive bids.
• Consistently achieve or surpass established monthly sales targets.
• Present bids to clients and negotiate contract terms.
• Identify and implement cost saving measures through value engineering.
• Manage and track project budgets throughout the construction process.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimating data.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and construction techniques.
• Solicit new business through job-site visits and online search.
• Prepare presentations to establish new client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Demonstrated track record of self-motivation and initiative, leading to successful project completion.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, labor costs, and equipment rental rates.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A valid driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
