Position Summary:
This position is accountable for the daily, weekly, and monthly preparation and analysis of reports for management's use in fiscal decision making. This individual will be a key resource in operational planning, forecasting and monthly close processes. We are looking for a highly motivated and effective financial professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial support to various SG&A functional groups.
- Provide a strong financial point of view to the business areas that will influence and support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, monthly P&L summaries for anomalies, and report findings to management using advance data mining and analysis to identify and make recommendations on adverse market trends.
- Prepare the annual operating cost center plans, with a transition to the rolling forecast, and collaborate with senior management for relevant input.
- Prepare financial analysis monthly, determining key budget variances, making recommendations, and identifying potential risks/opportunities.
- Facilitate monthly financial review meetings with senior management to review actual results compared to plan and projected spending for the rolling forecast period.
- Proactively add value to management decision-making through unsolicited analysis and reporting enhancements. Standardize processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis upon request.
- Review contracts/’s for financial implications, including terms and conditions.
- Support accounting close by preparing accruals, re-classes, prepayments, and related amortization, and preparing year-over-year comparative SG&A analysis.
- Ensure accounting and corporate-wide guidelines and policies are met.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance. Relevant certification MBA or CFA is a plus.
- Minimum four years of financial and business analysis, including budgeting and forecasting
- Prior experience providing financial support to senior leadership is a plus.
- Must be highly analytical and inquisitive with strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, financial modeling, keen attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and goals
- Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Excel and experience using other Microsoft Office applications, Word, PowerPoint, etc., and the ability to quickly master new applications and systems
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written/oral) skills, with proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships at all levels
- Ability to work in a team-based continuous improvement environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
