Requirements and Qualifications
- Arrives to work on time as scheduled in full uniform
- Provides the highest level of service by adhering to all Miller’s Ale House service standards
- Works directly with other Team Members to ensure all the Guest’s needs are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Assists host/hostess with greeting and seating Guests
- Assists servers in running food while ensuring proper food handling guidelines are being followed
- Acknowledges all Guests that come within five feet in a smiling, friendly manner
- Assists the servers in pre-bussing dishware as the Guests has finished eating
- Provides final removal of all plate and glassware after a Guest departs from the table
- Resets all tables within a timely manner after Guest departure including perfect silverware setup and cleanliness detail
- Collects bus tubs at Quality Assurance and server stations
- Empties trash cans in the restaurant
- Ensures proper food handling and sanitation of work areas
- Accomplishes end of shift side work; including ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next scheduled server to take over
- Interacts with Guests to create “Ale House Raving Fans”
- Communicates with fellow Team Members and Management to keep one another informed, wears a headset
SAFETY & SANITATION
- Washes hands every 30 minutes throughout the shift
- Maintains clean and sanitized work areas
- Ensures cleanliness of restrooms upon departure
- Works with Team Members to ensure that safety and sanitation protocol is being executed to company standard
TEAMWORK, SKILLS AND EDUCATION
- Supports other Front of House functions as needed, insuring that everything within the 4 walls of the restaurant is every Team Member’s responsibility
- Positively communicates with other Team Members and Management to keep one another informed
- Provides exceptional service throughout the entire shift
- Possesses communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as with a team
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age unless otherwise dictated by state law
- Sets up Team Members for success at shift change by ensuring side work and stations are properly stocked
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The Busser is expected to be able to perform the job functions with reasonable accommodation. Physical demands include:
- Remaining standing for extended periods of time
- Bending, squatting, and lifting, up to 30 lbs., for short distances
- Ability to work with varying noise levels
- Frequent communication with Managers, Team Members and Guests. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
