Miller Electric Mfg. – Smith equipment is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for packaging and shipping products to customers. They will accurately store, issue, and move materials into and out of stockroom locations. Maintaining accurate records of inventory and shipping transactions is very important.
Major Areas of Accountability
Packages, weighs, and prepares appropriate transportation documentation.- Stocks finished goods into preassigned bin locations.
- Operates a variety of packaging and shipping machines as necessary.
- Evaluates inventory of packaging material and advises lead person if replenishments become necessary.
- Inspects products for aesthetic specifications before shipment.
- Supports cycle counting by accurately counting materials utilizing electronic/manual scales or hand counts. Investigates errors and resolves as required.
- Enter information into the database system. Completes documentation and maintains records as required.
- Maintains bin location system.
- Operates electric hand truck.
- Ensures that safe work procedures are followed, and that proper safety equipment is used when required.
- Seeks and recommends ways to eliminate potential quality problems to improve procedures and methods, to increase department/division productivity.
- Performs other work as apparent or assigned.
- Physical ability to lift, carry and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Physical ability to stand all day.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and all employees.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
- Must have accurate math/counting skills.
- Proficient computer skills required.

Salary : $35,500 - $44,900
