General Purpose:
Leads monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales compensation related activities supporting multiple selling teams globally. Develops and/or oversees the compensation platform in the configuration of roles, compensation calculations, incentive component changes, adjustments, splits, reports and data feeds from various systems. Responsible for the design, execution, and training of the application software broadly to field sales. Support the sales compensation and design process through detailed analysis and scenario modeling under various performance and financial conditions.
Essential Functions:
Collaborates with Management to provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support through the annual goal setting process, changes in roles and critical thinking.
Develops, maintains, and executes the compensation platform across various sales roles including annual compensation calculations, compensation plans and monthly sales incentive statements.
Technical ability to adapt to various software applications and tools.
Engage in the annual compensation review and adjustment process with analytical support that aligns targeted income for all sales position with corporate financial parameters and demonstrates through scenario modeling the impact of sales structure and compensation design changes.
Influences business decisions in relationship to the sales incentive pool funding requirements and provides updates throughout the fiscal year based on projected sales levels in support of the financial accrual process.
Summarizes sales performance levels, identifies key performance indicators, and facilitates actions plans to address significant risks and opportunities.
Works with cross-functional areas to identify and implement continuous process improvements.
Provides sales leadership with analysis and reports regarding compensation risk situations to better position the organizations financial outcomes related to sales compensation.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, solve problems, and work with all levels in the organization, including executive and sales leadership.
Develops and independently implements work strategies, visualization tools and data connections to achieve desired results.
Qualifications:
BA in Business, Economics, Statistics or equivalent knowledge/experience.
3-7 years of experience in a professional, analytical related position.
Strong analytical skills with advanced ability to utilize platforms such as: Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, mapping software to prepare statistical models, conduct analysis and development of reporting utilizing Alteryx, Tableau and other dashboarding tools with minimal supervision.
Ability to execute departmental processes, procedures and administer policies across various selling teams.
Demonstrated ability to identify problems/issues, develop conclusions, make recommendations for effective business actions, and deal with tough/complex issues where there are often only optimal solutions.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining professional working relationships built on mutual trust and a strong base of peer support.
Proven ability to accomplish desired objectives/outcomes by influencing individuals at all levels.
Completion of assignments with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines.
Effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the MillerKnoll office environment.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Additional Skills and Ability:
Familiarity with applications including, but not limited to, Tableau, Alteryx, Xactly Incent, Business Objects, Salesforce.com.
Up to 10% travel time
May work outside of normal business hours for global projects and depending on where candidates is located.
