Your Role: At Millipore Sigma, a Packaging Operator II will stage, fill (manually or semi-automatically), cap, label, and over pack liquid, powder, and lyophilized products per approved packaging specifications.


  • Clean laboratory glassware and batch tanks
  • Complete appropriate packaging documentation per FDA, ISO, and GMP procedures and deliver products to inventory and verify calibration status
  • Independently set-up and operate automated fill lines
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to semi-automated equipment
  • Troubleshoot automated and semi-automated cappers
  • Fill hazardous and non-hazardous products in environmentally controlled areas utilizing aseptic techniques
  • Transfer bulk material utilizing peristaltic pumps and manually torque caps with wrenches
  • Filter bulk material using pumps and in-line filters or vacuum filters
  • Assist with loading bottles and pack-off during fill line operations
  • Train operators on semi-automated filling equipment
  • Comply with the requirements of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001
  • Participate in 6S activities
  • 2nd Shift:1:30pm - 12:00 pm Monday-Thursday


Physical Attributes:
  • Wear PPE such as hard hats, safety shoes, respirators, safety glasses, gloves, hair nets, beard covers (if applicable), Tyvek suits, shoe covers, and respirator
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Routine use of all chemical classes


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications:
  • College course work in chemistry
  • 3 months chemical weighing and ISO/GMP regulated environment
  • Ability to do basic math-including metrics and conversions
  • Knowledge of safety rules, GMP, SOP's, UOP's
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot automated packaging equipment
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of ateam
  • Ability to train others, use hand tools, pumps and electronic balances
