Millstream Assistant Director Job Summary:
The Assistant Director supports the successful operation of Millstream Career Center through administrative and supervisory functions. The Assistant Director provides key support in curriculum and instruction, budgeting, finance, student discipline as well as supporting the general management of the school and a vision to foster growth in programming. The ideal candidate will show evidence as an effective school leader with a background in career technical education.

Essential Job Functions:
Monitor administration of the compact agreement with member schools
Manage grants related to Millstream and career-tech education
Oversee the building budget
Assist the district treasurer with Millstream’s financial accounting activities
Administer discipline and enforce the student code of conduct
Assist with the evaluation of instructional and support staff
Manage facility needs and concerns
Assist with the maintenance of the emergency operations plan and other safety/security measures
Collaborate with director and high school principal to develop master schedule and staff assignments
Develop and implement professional development for Millstream staff
Assist in recruiting, screening, training and assigning Millstream staff
Collaborate with the director to develop innovative programming
Represent Millstream on committees and advisory boards as assigned by the director
Manage other Millstream administrative operations in collaboration with the director
Qualifications and Requirements:
Administrative license required
Experience or training in school business or finance preferred
Experience with career tech/vocational education or secondary education preferred
OTES 2.0 credential or ability to acquire credential required
