Responsibilities:
- Develop or approve budgets and operations
- Hire and supervise new program managers for projects
- Report detailed status updates to leadership and executive team
- Apply change, risk, and resource management principles when needed
- Work with leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for programs
- Resolve problems between program teams and other internal stakeholders
- Coordinate with program managers and other stakeholders to create detailed implementation plans. This includes deadlines, milestones, processes, and risk mitigation protocols
- Provide processes for monitoring performance and collaborating with program teams to determine ways to improve
- Handle all personnel performance-related matters at Corporate & government/client sites in a professional, judicious manner
- Collaborate with CFO and Director of Contracts in maintaining financial profitability of existing contracts
- Coordinate and support teaming and subcontracting arrangements with partners
- Focus on hunting/winning new business; aggressively build, manage, and report on sales pipeline
- Support all aspects of capture appropriately, including proposal development, to ensure a win
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven track record as a successful program director, program manager, or project manager
- Experience managing teams through long, complex program implementations
- Knowledge of current program management methods and best practices
- Experience managing staff and budgets
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal acquisition roles, processes, and regulations
- Experience working on government proposals, adhering to a formal capture and proposal lifecycle process
- Exceptional communication, networking, and presentation skills; team player, with an engaging personality
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight project deadlines; willingness to work extra hours when necessary
- Ability and willingness to regularly travel to customer sites, including overnight, out-of-town travel
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a BA, MA degree preferred
- 7-10 years related experience, with progressive responsibility in program/project management
- Experience managing budgets for multiple projects
- PMP Certification
- Experience with CMMI and ISO 9000 Certification processes and procedures adherence
