Full Time, Salary: Competitive

Position Start:  June 9, 2024 (Pending Contract Award)

Period of Performance: June 2024 through May 2029

Position Summary: MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is currently seeking a full time Systems Administrator (SECRET CLEARANCE).  The Systems Administrator will be supporting the government at Carlisle Barracks, PA and Aberdeen Proving Grounds MD.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements for the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) classified and unclassified communication systems.
• The candidate will perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
• Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
• Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Ensure workstation/ server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
• Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations on virtual servers.   
• 100% on site position.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in information technology or an associated technical degree.  4 years of experience in lieu of a degree

Certifications: Must maintain IAT Level II certification (Like CompTIA Security ), must have a computing environment certification in Windows Server

Clearance:    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an Active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
