Job Title: Director of Ticketing Analytics
Class: Full-Time
Reports to: Vice President, Business Strategy & Analytics

Position Summary:
This leader will build, develop, and lead a growth-minded ticketing analytics team tasked with harnessing the power of data, applied analytics, and technology to get results. Work closely with the leaders and team members of Ticket Sales & Service, Finance, Digital/Marketing, and IT. Lead quantitative analyses and data-driven insights regarding return on investment, ticketing pricing &inventory, customer retention, customer scoring, attendance forecasting, new product development, other analytical and strategic projects and ticketing operations/sales analytics for the Bucks, the Herd, Marquette, and Arena Concerts/Shows.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor ticketing analysts while also working hands-on with regular and ad-hoc reporting and analytics on ticketing strategy and ticketing operations.
- Develop and elevate analytical capabilities of the Bucks organization to include statistical rigor, data modeling and applied analytics.
- Challenge and guide the team in building and maintaining models (i.e., pricing, scoring/qualifying, retention, price elasticity, etc.) and collaborate with the LOB to implement strategies to improve net revenue over time.
- Complete data exploration and identify trends that enable the organization to improve revenue streams and optimize processes.
- Develop dashboards regarding optimization of business performance and provide strategic recommendations in presentations to management and senior executive leaders.
- Clearly articulate findings and present recommendations to departments looking to use data.
- Partner with technology team, third-party vendors, and outside consultants to continually integrate the tools, services, methods, and processes supporting analysis.
- Lead implementation of data warehouse to aggregate, prioritize, manage, and store business data.
- Oversee ticketing operations including:
- Oversee management of CRM administration and analysis:
- Partner with Sales Management team on incentive and contest tracking, compensation plan structure, etc.
- Support the organization by aligning long and short-term strategy with data and providing leadership with business intelligence and data driven insights.
- Stay ahead of data analytics standard methodologies, industry trends, and technological advancements to ensure organization stays best in class.
- Enhance organizational data literacy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Math, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or similar domain
- MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative subject area is a plus!
- Sports or entertainment industry experience is a plus!
- 5 – 7 years of professional experience in ticketing analytics or related field with a strong and well-rounded knowledge of general business operations
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience mentoring and growing a team of analysts
- Excellent digital literacy skills, including SQL experience, Microsoft Office Suite, statistical software (R, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.), CRM (MS Dynamics), Archtics and Power BI
- Practical experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis methods and general predictive modeling techniques
- Outstanding project management, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
- High-level of dedication to a quality work product
- Proven track record of deriving insights from large data sources and presenting in a clear and concise narrative form
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to communicate effectively with different audiences such as various internal customers, outside agencies, organizations, and vendors
- Ability to maintain relationships with key constituents as appropriate
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed given the nature of the sports and entertainment business
- Travel for League meetings, industry conferences, and other events
