Custodial Technician

Job Purpose:

This position performs janitorial, cleaning and custodial related duties at MCFI and contracted facilities. This position will also require participation at some in-services as well as shadowing clients in the Custodial Training program.

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to reports to a custodial Manager. This position has no direct reports.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Assumes responsibility for timely completion of all assigned daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks.

2. Performs daily quality control inspection of one’s own work, satisfying applicable standards.

3. Provides coverage and support for co-workers as needed, removing trash, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming.

4. Responsible for maintaining security of building.

5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

6. Practices and promotes safety in the workplace, reports all accidents according to agency procedures.

7. Preforms hospital disinfecting cleaning

8. Delivers in house mail

9. Able to use Custodial equipment

10. Willingness to cleans up of Biohazard spills (mandatory training upon hire)

11. Performs minor maintenance duties

12. Works collaboratively with Facilities

13. Performs daily custodial tasks including outside duties and furniture moving as needed.

14. Assists with duties at off-site locations as needed.

Required Technical Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials:

1. Ability to maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality rate.

2. Good grooming and hygiene is required and behavior positively reflecting MCFI to customers.

3. Knowledge, skill, and ability to use proper cleaning instruments, techniques and practices.

4. Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.

5. Ability to follow multi-level oral instructions, read, count, follow procedures, and work independently.

6. Ability to physically perform a range of moderate to arduous custodial duties.

7. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of the custodial service team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.36 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
