What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead EMS - 1st Shift position at Milwaukee Electronics?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

· Coordinate and prioritize production activity/work flow.

· Acting supervisor when required. Supervision experience preferred.

· Actively leads and works/directs group/team activities.

· Experience with SMT, Stuff line, Prep, Wave & AOI.

· Participate in daily team lead meetings.

· Able to train and follow up on adherence to process.

· Ability to work independently on an off shift with limited management oversight.

· Follows appropriate quality policies and procedures.

· Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities.

· Performs work to appropriate efficiency and utilization standards.

· Able to communicate effectively with customers by email and phone.

· Provide first level technical support to team and escalate per escalation policy.

· Capable of producing and inspecting quality product.

· Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment.

· Enthusiastic, positive and dependable member of the manufacturing group.

· Actively supports change and identifies ways to improve processes and efficiency.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.

· Must be adaptive and supportive of change.

· Must provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.

· The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· This job may require some supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of one year experience in the electronics industry required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of documentation.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills will be required to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

· Able to perform data entry transactions.

· Must achieve a passing score on the Milwaukee Electronics Component identification course.

· Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Workmanship standard exam.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this position, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements include: close & distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
