What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Die Sinker position at Milwaukee Forge?
Job Duties Include:
- Set up, adjust and check programming and operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machine operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill.
- Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings for operations such as bore, mill, drill, face, thread and occasional profiling and contouring
- Operators may run more than one unit simultaneously
- Job typically requires knowledge of machine techniques and methosds and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures, plus the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications
- 2-5 years of similar experience required
- Perform advanced setup operations, adjust and check out programming and operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diverse line of work to within exacting tolerance
