The IT Supervisor leads Minco’s IT department; managing projects, guiding and developing the IT team, and providing valuable advice to management, thus enabling all implemented IT solutions to meet business needs and objectives. Responsibilities
- Provide effective guidance, mentoring, and manage performance objectives for IT team members, while fostering a positive, collaborative, accountable, solutions-driven work environment.
- Successfully manage projects, assign tasks, prioritize work, and efficiently allocate resources to meet objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee large IT projects, defining objectives, scopes, and deadlines.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and assist the team hands-on in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Maintain, upgrade, and ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and ensure compliance with regulations and customer flow-downs.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Develop, control, and make cost-effective, profit-minded decisions within the IT budget.
- Identify training needs, facilitate professional development, and stay current with industry trends.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans and respond to IT emergencies and outages.
- Maintain comprehensive IT system documentation and generate regular performance reports.
- Ensure timely and effective end-user support and address user concerns.
- Implement and monitor security measures, respond to security incidents, and coordinate incident response.
- Manage IT changes and updates with minimal disruption to business operations, conducting risk assessments.
- Foster collaboration with other departments, align IT solutions with organizational objectives, and communicate updates and issues.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing feedback and identifying and implementing areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, facilitate audits as necessary.

Qualifications
Professional Requirements
- 10 year of progressive IT experience
- 5 years in supervisory or managerial role within an IT department
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Skill Requirements
- Extensive expertise in IT software systems, including Office 365, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server, Microsoft SharePoint, VMware/vSphere, Azure, and Citrix. Strong working knowledge of other applications is considered a plus (Crowdstrike/Falcon, zScaler, Symantec VIP Manager, Symantec Endpoint Protection, IFS, NovaCura, Payroll/HRIS systems (UKG/Ceridian/ADP), Oracle, Forticlient, Cisco Anyconnect, Commvault).
- Strong project management experience is essential, with a proven track record of successfully planning, executing, and delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in systems and network administration, ERP systems, software and hardware development, server monitoring and administration, as well as cybersecurity analysis.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, internally and customer-facing.
- Effectively and successfully build relationships with outside agencies, vendors, fellow employees, and management.
- Successful experience timely responding to and resolving problems, questions, concerns, and challenges.
- Excellent process documentation and report creation skills.
