The purpose of the MMHSUD program is to expand health care providers’ capacity to screen, assess, treat, and refer pregnant and postpartum individuals for maternal mental health and substance use disorders. Likewise, the purpose of the PMHCA program, otherwise known as Tennessee Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Education and Support (TCAPES), is to provide pediatric Primary Care Providers (PCPs) in Tennessee, with training on screening and management of behavioral health conditions, assistance in finding community resources and access to pediatric and adolescent psychiatry consultation services

This is a contract position that will report directly to the Injury Prevention section’s Senior Epidemiologist.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Attend all grant-required meetings.
- Complete all grant-required reports.
- Develop and manage databases to collect, organize, and analyze data for the pediatric and maternal health psychiatric teams, including the REDCap database used to monitor call volume and type. Ensure data quality and integrity for accurate interpretation and reporting.
- Participate in needs assessments, resource allocation and program evaluation, planning and development for the assigned programs.
- Communicate and disseminate data and evaluation findings to leadership, internal, and external partners.
- Participate actively in strategic planning efforts by making recommendations regarding the utilization of data findings to make improvements to the maternal and pediatric mental health consultation programs.
- Ability to work remotely and in the Nashville, TN office.
- Ensure that all generated reports follow Data Release Guidelines.
- Work with program directors and communications specialists to develop infographics and disseminate findings among clinical and community partners.
- Represent program at national workgroup meetings.
- Use innovative means to improve the implementation of programs, write grants, and evaluate programs.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Provide epidemiological support to the MCH Block Grant priority areas as needed.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, statistics, or health informatics with experience equivalent to four year's work experience in epidemiology.
