QA Automation Engineer

Job Title: Software Test Engineer/ QA Automation Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Plano, TX

Job Description:

• The Opportunity is an on-site contract position works out of our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodulation Division.
• Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. 
• The system verification group is responsible for the formal testing of all new products prior to regulatory review and launch worldwide. 
• The system verification contractor is responsible for developing test methods and scripts, executing the necessary testing, and documenting the results in formal reports. 
• It is expected that the tester works closely with product development team to report defects and ensure correctness of test results.  
• The contract position is intended to support a planned or ongoing project until its completion.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline.
• Experience peforming manual testing, integration testing, automated testing.
• Experience with defect reporting using JIRA.
• Experience working with various engineering functions and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in regulated industry (e.g. medical, automotive, defense)
• Experience with developing test plans, test cases/protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience with firmware/software integration.
• Experience with Python development.
• Experience using and/or developing automation solutions in Appium and Selenium.
• Knowledge of hardware testing and tools, such as oscilloscope, DAQ systems.
• Experience with electromechanical implantable devices.
• Experience translating product requirements into test cases to ensure full coverage.
• Medical device experience or demonstrated ability to work within a highly regulated environment.
