Laser Design Engineer
Contract
Cupertino, CA
 
Simulation/design-centric role for VCSEL and grating designs. Daily tasks will be VCSEL/grating modeling (internal design code in Matlab) and deliverables will be optimal VCSEL/grating designs, which will be fabricated and validated in multiple prototyping and builds. He/She will need the skillsets of either VCSEL design experience or grating design experience or ideally both

Strong devices-physics background, with a solid understanding of semiconductor physics, optical processes in semiconductors, and driver-level analog EE.

Strong experience with semiconductor device designs. Design and simulation experience on semiconductor lasers, especially VCSELs and gratings is a strong plus.
