Auger Operator

Mineral Labs Inc. is looking to employee a well-qualified auger operator. The applicant must have knowledge of safety procedures and be able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the drilling process. A strong attention to detail and physical stamina are necessary for this role. Pay will be based upon experience.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain power auger equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform daily pre-operation checks and maintenance on equipment
• Ensure that auger operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
• Review and interpret auger logs and reports
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other professionals to complete projects
• Maintain accurate records of auger operations, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an auger operator or similar role
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of augers and related equipment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to operating heavy machinery
• Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and work in outdoor environments
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other workers and supervisors
• High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certifications preferred

Hard skills:

· Operation of auger machinery - ability to competently operate auger machinery and associated tools

· Maintenance of machinery - knowledge of how to properly maintain and repair auger machinery

· Safety protocols - familiarity with safety protocols and procedures for operating auger machinery

· Inspection of machinery - capability to inspect and diagnose any issues with auger machinery

· Load calculations - capacity to accurately calculate load and weight requirements for auger machinery

· Trenching - skilled in trenching and excavation for the installation of auger machinery

· Team coordination - adept at working with other operators to ensure a smooth and safe operation

Soft skills:

· Attention to detail - Ability to focus on small details

· Problem-solving skills - Capacity to identify and resolve issues

· Adaptability - Readiness to adjust to changing circumstances

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
