General Description:

Minerva Area Christian School is seeking a Middle School English Teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2024-2025 academic year. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing quality education in a Christ-centered environment, fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) subjects for grades 5 through 8.
• Plan, execute, evaluate, and communicate all programs necessary to fulfill the school's vision and mission.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment reflecting Christ's love.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to enhance educational experiences for students.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, promoting a culture of respect and integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or in progress) with eligibility for Ohio teacher certification.
• Strong subject knowledge and expertise in teaching English Language Arts.
• Commitment to personal spiritual growth and Christian values.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and technology integration in the classroom.
