Maintenance Associate

Established in 2020, Mini Mall Storage Properties has been successfully acquiring storage facilities throughout North America with rapid expansion in the United States. We have a team of talented and diverse self-storage experts who span across 15 states and 7 provinces to support and manage our rapid growth across North America. With over 50,000 units and almost 8 million square feet of self-storage space, our goal is to make storage simple and accessible throughout life’s transitions.

The Maintenance Associates (MA) are vital contributors responsible for maintaining the safety and optimal condition of our facilities. In your role as a Maintenance Associate, you will be instrumental in ensuring our properties maintain a strong visual presence while meeting all safety and security requirements. Furthermore, you will apply your expertise in various areas, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, door and drywall repairs, lock replacements, and other necessary tasks.

• You have a strong passion for craftsmanship. You enjoy fixing broken things and making them look brand new
• You are a hands-on type of individual, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, use hand/power tools to get things done
• You enjoy preventive maintenance; you have a keen eye and ensure things are kept up and fixed before they become a bigger issue

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Responsible for daily onsite maintenance site upkeep and repair
• Executing daily site walks; checking for cleanliness, hazards, unit count, damage repair
• Completing vacancy checks, marking vacant units and reporting unauthorized move ins
• Vacant unit condition checks and upkeep prior to customer move in
• Collaborate with front office staff to ensure the property is operating efficiently
• Managing overlocking units when instructed due to overdue rents, and removing overlocks when ledgers are cleared
• Supporting in the auction process when required
• Seasonal upkeep of the property

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

• Maintenance/repair tech experience required
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must possess a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance
• Must complete & pass a criminal record check
• Well-organized and strong attention to detail
• Great communication skills
