Business Analyst

Established in 2020, Mini Mall Storage Properties has been successfully acquiring storage facilities throughout North America with rapid expansion in the United States. We have a team of talented and diverse self-storage experts who span across 15 states and 7 provinces to support and manage our rapid growth across North America. With over 50,000 units and almost 8 million square feet of self-storage space, our goal is to make storage simple and accessible throughout life’s transitions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team at Mini Mall Storage. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in extracting and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, enhance collection processes, and support strategic decision-making. This position will work closely with the Regional Operations Manager and Regional Vice President to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Collect and analyze data from various sources, including property management systems, financial reports, and customer databases.
• Perform data mining and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights for business strategies.
• Create reports, and presentations to communicate findings to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Sr Leadership team to identify areas of opportunity for operational improvements and create action plans to achieve the results
• Provide insights into operational efficiencies, including cost reduction and revenue enhancement strategies.
• Analyze and monitor collection and accounts receivable processes, for the purpose of recommending improvements.
• Support the development and implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures.
• Work with senior management on strategic initiatives and projects, including market research and competitor analysis.
• Act as a liaison between the data team and regional management to ensure alignment and understanding of business needs and data capabilities.
• Train and support staff in the use of data tools and interpretation of data insights, providing regular updates to senior management.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role, Experience in storage, property management or front line retail would be considered an asset.
• Proficient in data analysis tools like SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in collecting, organizing, and disseminating information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data insights clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of property management systems and software, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices for data security.
• Project management experience with a successful track record of project delivery.
• Experience in operations, administrative support, or similar analytical roles, preferably in real estate, retail, or storage industries.
