Field Data Technician

We are looking to hire Field Data Technicians of all levels to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure in May City, Iowa. (Relocation assistance and room can be provided to those outside of the local area (45min driving distance).

The ideal candidate will be competent in the existing landscape of network technologies, and exhibit the ability to adapt to change, as well as remain current on developing technologies. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting of both client and internal networks.

Qualified candidates will have hands-on experience with technical equipment and a willingness to learn. A background in and/or IT, Systems Engineering Manager, and/or network administration is preferred but not required. In this role you will be working with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment ensuring high uptime and services for our clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Install and maintain Antminer S19 Pro miners with precision, like a surgeon performing a delicate operation.
• Monitor and optimize mining operations like a seasoned detective solving a mystery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with ease, like a superhero saving the day.
• Participate in training and continuous learning opportunities, because knowledge is power and we want you to be a mining master!
• Performing daily maintenance on computing systems and facilities
• Basic structural cabling
• Basic and high level networking troubleshooting
• Ensuring a clean, presentable environment for our customers
• Resetting, organizing, and racking computer equipment
• Monitoring systems for issues and responding to issues
• Receiving and shipping equipment

Requirements:

• Strong technical skills and ability to work independently, like a boss!
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, because when it comes to mining, teamwork makes the dream work!

Qualifications:

All Levels -

• Ability to be on your feet for 7 hours per day in a warehouse environment
• 3 professional references to your integrity and commitment
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin mining a plus but not required

Level I -

• Curiosity and drive to learn about Information Technology and computers
• Preferred hands on experience with cabling and hardware repairs

Level II -

• Working knowledge of computers including:
• Operating Systems
• Web Browsers
• Computer Networking
• Racking and Stacking
• 2 years of experience

Level III -

• 5 years of experience working in the technical field
• Experience leading a team of technicians

Degree/Qualifications Preferred:

• Associates degree in computer field and/or qualified years of experience

Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
