Roots Recovery, an innovative co-occurring disorders treatment program in the heart of the Twin Cities, is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to work in our outpatient recovery program.

Summary:
Responsible for performing substance use disorder assessments, participating in and contributing to interdisciplinary treatment and discharge plans and providing individual and group substance use disorder counseling services. The alcohol and drug counselor/chemical health assessor will have skills to carry out the 12 core functions and all other counseling duties identified by Minnesota statute 245G.
We are looking for someone to facilitate groups and do comp assessments part-time. We have groups Monday-Thursday and remote make-up groups on Fridays. The hours are 9am-1pm, which equals to 4 groups per day. 8-10 hours per week.

Education/Experience:
Certificates and Licenses:
Licensed by the state of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor, or eligible for a temporary permit to practice alcohol and drug counseling. Individuals may also be eligible to practice alcohol and drug counseling due to exemption from 148C requirements.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Database software.
