As a Fire Trainee, you'll develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to protect and save life and property through effective rescue and firefighting work, and fire prevention activities. To respond to emergency medical calls and render aid to victims. We take care of you with a strengths-based culture of support and development and a total rewards package. Burnsville Fire is a full-time career department that responds to all hazards and provides advanced life support emergency medical service transport capability to our community. Our 55-member department operates out of two fire stations, is ready to serve at a moment's notice, and actively engages with the community to reduce risk and increase safety awareness.
Fire Trainees will have no more than 24 months to successfully obtain all certifications required to become a Firefighter/Paramedic.
