The Public Service Worker-Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining, including performing preventative maintenance of, all city vehicles and equipment, including Fire and Police Department vehicles and equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
The job requires two years of post-high school mechanical training and two years of experience working on heavy and or heavy equipment, or equivalent experience, and training, experience and continuing education sufficient to progress as required under the Career Development Program (CDP). The employee must also possess or obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, with endorsements, and Department of Transportation (DOT) inspection certification within six months of hire.
