Minuteman Press, the world’s largest and top-rated digital print, marketing and design franchise is seeking a candidate for Graphic Designer/Customer Service Representative at the Cranberry Township Location.
The position involves graphic design, customer service, and some basic print production . Must have strong graphic / layout skills and the ability to learn and grow with our company. Be able to create new designs and concepts to meet customer requirements.
This may include any of the following design requirements: Company rebranding logos, business cards, business stationary, forms, banners, and window graphic design.
Duties of the Print Shop Graphic Design candidate will include:
- Work with relevant design related programs, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Layout and manipulate various projects based on the customer’s needs.
- Understand different file types: Bitmap vs. Vector, JPG, PNG, EPS, PDF, etc.
- Manage projects that involve a wide range of high-quality printing and communication services.
- Preparing files for print production; checking fonts, links and colors, and imposing art when required. (Setting files multiple up with cut marks)
- Review job specification from work orders and ensure that client files are accurate to produce jobs.
- Develop and maintain client library files / file handling.
- Responsible for the use of digital copiers/presses to setup and produce customer jobs.
- Operate copiers/printers and finish materials. Includes cutting flyers/business cards, processing mailers, binding books, folding brochures, padding notepads, etc.
- Working with and preparing PDF files.
- Submitting files and placing orders with vendors.
- Customer service: assisting and consulting with clients about their projects in person, on the phone and via email.
- Preparing/packaging and shipping completed jobs.
- Maintain an orderly work area.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Including working on real world projects for print design.
- Have excellent people skills and communication skills. Positive and friendly, not only via email, but also in person and over the phone.
- Be able to work independently and be able to multi-task/handle several client jobs at the same time.
- Experience at a print or copy shop is preferred but not required.
- FEDEX Office, UPS Store, and Staples Print Shop experience very helpful!
This position is full time Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends. Paid time off and holidays.
Compensation is commensurate with the selected candidate's experience.
