JOB SUMMARY

The Housing Coordinator manages the Program's housing supportive services, including emergency, transitional "bridge" and agreements.  Manages lease agreements including residential site leasing and master lease agreements.  Assists clients with documentation and housing placement. Manages a housing budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. provide housing support and expertise to treatment teams.
  2. review and update housing records, client demographic information in ehr, and homeless information system.
  3. review and approve housing rental assistance applications and assist clients with completion; submit applications on behalf of clients.
  4. process and approve housing subsidy applications for submission.
  5. locate housing units and negotiate master lease agreements.
  6. manage tenant rent collections and subsidy vacancies. 
  7. manage maintenance requests and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
  8. review and manage a budget, invoice payments, and vouchers.  research, track and request refunds from housing vendors.
  9. prepare monthly reports to mhs.
  10. attend program meetings and regularly communicate with program manager and vp of housing.  
  11. address and manage serious incidents and emergency situations.
  12. comply with all mhs and program rules, policies and procedures including hipaa standards.

qualifications

  1. 5 years of experience providing community housing-related social services to clients; or
  2. associates degree in a social services field and 3 years of experience providing community housing-related social services to clients; or
  3. bachelor's degree in a social services field and 2 years of experience providing community housing-related social services to clients.
  4. demonstrated ability to understand and manage a large budget.
  5. strong attention to detail.
  6. proficient with microsoft office suite and ehr software
  7. ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  8. ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. strong ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  1. valid california driver's license and current auto insurance coverage
