Retail Salesperson

Ensures a positive customer experience by providing courteous, and efficient customer service to customers and associates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Greets, assists, provides efficient service and thanks customers in a prompt, courteous, friendly and business-like manner, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
• Makes sure baked goods are displayed according to company standards.
• Ensures that store operations are in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Arrives to work promptly and in full uniform on your scheduled days to work
• Ensures product quality by checking freshness, rotating products, and removing out-of-date products.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Operates and sanitizes all bakery equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Answers telephone calls with excellent phone etiquette and transfers calls to appropriate departments.
• Cleans at the end of shift and when the storefront is not busy.

  Experience in a similar customer focused work environment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, according to customer demand.
• Demonstrate knowledge of entire product line and preparation.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to understand and speak Spanish is a plus.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $11.00 - $14.00/hour.
