Job Overview

 

Reporting to the VP of Operations and Finance, you lead the global accounting and finance operations, enhancing internal controls and policy compliance. You provide leadership in all areas of accounting and finance including reporting, financial systems, treasury, taxation, and internal controls. What You’ll Do

 

Lead

  • Lead, inspire, grow, and develop the accounting and finance department for Resource Intl’s worldwide offices.
  • Lead and coordinate the financial closing process and direct all accounting functions including consolidations, general accounting, cost accounting, credit and collections, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, insurance, bank compliance reporting, and cash management.

 

Financial Accounting

  • Establish and maintain financial systems and controls which verify the integrity of all Resource Intl Inc. financial information.
  • Develop and manage standardization and automation of accounting practices, procedures, and controls globally throughout the organization to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete, that assets are safeguarded and records are properly maintained.
  • Consolidation of and reporting for Resource Intl’s global operations in accordance with GAAP and statutory regulations.
  • Management of the general ledger, monthly closing process, and preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with required deadlines.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely dissemination of all financial reports, both internally and externally.
  • Develop an ownership financial dashboard to review key financial variances to plan and metrics to industry standards.
  • In conjunction with the VP of Operations and Finance manage relationships with external auditors, accountants, financial, tax, and other compliance activities.

 

Managerial Accounting

  • Work closely with the Production department to analyze actual labor, material, and overhead cost against established standard costs. Research and explain variances.  Report this information monthly or as needed.
  • Support and advise the organization on cost control and reduction.

 

Treasury and Other duties

  • Responsible for credit and collections on accounts and distribution of aging and other reports to provide visibility to management to avoid potential issues.
  • Develop monthly cash forecasts and administer company cash flow management and treasury activities.
  • Evaluate and further develop the accounting and finance infrastructure to support a growing organization while implementing key policies and procedures to help produce departmental and operational efficiencies.
  • Support the VP of Operations and Finance in development of financial models, budgets, forecasts, analytical projects and metrics as assigned.
  • In conjunction with the VP of Operations and Finance manage the broker relationship for liability insurance for all global operations.

 

 Your Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA certified
  • 10+ years of professional level accounting and finance experience including 5+ years of progressive experience in Controllership or similar roles and 1 to 3 years of public accounting experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices and procedures including multi-company and international consolidations and foreign exchange required.
  • Technology, software and SaaS experience including ERP and HRIS software.
  • Experience in cost accounting for manufacturing and distribution operations.
