Supply Chain Specialist
Does the thought of ordering and purchasing the same products over and over make you yawn? Do you enjoy outside-the-box thinking and value new ways of solving old problems? Mishimoto is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in executing our sourcing strategies, which include locating new suppliers, building, and sustaining relationships with suppliers, diversifying our supply chain, and all other sourcing related activities to ensure the company can achieve its short and long-term sourcing goals.
What you’ll do:
- Support our Product Development team with all sourcing and quoting requirements.
- Identify, research, and qualify potential suppliers internationally and domestically.
- Negotiation of costs, lead-times, tooling, payment terms, capacity, etc.
- Manage, review, and execute supply contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other similar legal documents.
- Sourcing international suppliers and products
- Generating creative ideas for process improvement
- Can develop complex solutions and recommendations for vendor issues or opportunities using technical expertise and judgment
- Identify and estimate potential supply-chain risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques.
- Provide timely communications and data regarding suppliers and key issues
- Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with internal purchasing team.
- Self-guided and can work independently to implement vendor and customer solutions including documenting procedures, training and resolving operational issues
Your Creds:
Along with a passion for sourcing, you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other closely related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience identifying and establishing new sources for goods and manufacturing processes.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in international sourcing and supplier relations
- Expertise in sourcing design and manufactured items using processes such as casting, stamping, plastic injection molding, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings
- CPIM certification a plus
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Able to travel internationally and domestically (approximately 5% of the time or less)
