We are a Reggio-Emilia inspired preschool in the heart of Abingdon, VA.
We serve families of children 22 months to 5 years old.
This position is for a Afternoon Aid. Expected shift:
- Monday - Friday 1:00PM - 6:00PM
An aid supports the teachers and director by helping to create a clean and safe environment for the children. Candidate will be expected to implement and oversee a daily cleaning and sanitation regimen as well as work along side afternoon aids.
Duties
Assist afternoon staff with cleaning tasks and caregiving such as:
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas.
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, laundry and removal of trash.
- Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks.
- Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required
- Caregiving.
- Playground supervision
Requirements
- Candidates must pass required state and company background checks.
- Have a minimum of 6 month experience with children (volunteer or professional).
- Their own reliable transportation.
- Mobility.
- Be able to take direction and communicate well with everyone in a respectful manner.
- Be willing to clean and sanitize daily.
