This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the Assistant Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Watch Officer (ABWO) in the MDA Operations Support Center (OSC) executing all MDA OSC mission essential function in the absence of the BWO.

Qualifications:
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
- Experience with a complex weapons system and the associated threat environment.
- Experience with complex technical and operations management issues.
- Experience with the integration of complex command and control centers.
- Experience with voice communications systems.

As a Assistant BMDS Watch Officer at the NH-0301-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Responsible for Missile Defense System Configuration Control, operational readiness reporting, asset management execution and incident reporting in support of the MDA BMDS Watch Officer (BWO) and Warfighter customers.
- Track the status and configuration of the Missile Defense System in the Missile Defense Reporting system (MDRS).
- Execute real-time Missile Defense System event coordination and system configuration control during day-to-day operations.
- Performs asset management execution and tracks all Missile Defense System activities through the asset management process and direct communication with MDA Elements at the distributed sites.
- Captures and reports incidents and significant events to the MDA senior leadership.
- Executes the MDA Commander's Critical Information Reporting process when necessary to inform the Director, Deputy Director, Executive Director and executive and senior leaders.
- Performs duties as the BMDS Watch Officer (BWO) in the absence of the BWO.
