The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine radiological x-ray and CT procedures as required. This role provides direct patient care to individuals of all ages, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine radiological x-ray and CT procedures as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers.
- Ensure patient comfort and cooperation during imaging procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper positioning of patients for accurate images.
- Provide direct patient care, addressing the needs of patients of all age groups.
- Explain procedures to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during and after imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of imaging procedures, patient information, and any observed anomalies.
- Ensure proper documentation of radiation doses administered.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance, punctuality, and safety guidelines.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiography Program.
- 1-2 years of Radiology or X-Ray experience.
- Required Certifications/Licensures: ARRT Registry eligible, obtained within one year of hire.
