Telemetry RN

The Telemetry RN is an integral member of the clinical and technical support team, specializing in cardiac invasive procedures. They possess expertise in surgical scrub techniques, hemodynamic monitoring, and the computation and acquisition of clinical data. This role includes on-call coverage as assigned and rotation requirements. The Cardiovascular Technologist also excels in cardiac imaging PACS acquisition and data management. They are expected to function effectively in Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Vascular Lab settings as needed on a daily basis.

• Maintenance of current knowledge in present areas of responsibility, including self-education and participation in ongoing educational programs.
• Attendance at staff meetings, completion of mandatory in-services and requirements, and timely completion of competency evaluations.
• Demonstration of competency at all levels in providing care to patients based on age, sex, weight, and specific needs. For non-clinical areas, the display of age-specific customer service skills.
• Completion of a 2-year/Associate Degree in an Accredited Cardiovascular Program or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). OR
• Completion of a 2-year/Associate Degree in a Radiology Technology Program with ARRT.
• Preferred 1 years of experience in Cardiovascular Technology or Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Required Certifications/Licensures: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) obtained within one year of hire, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) obtained within one year of hire, or Radiology Tech (ARRT).

Working Conditions:

• General environment: Work in a well-lit, air-conditioned area with moderate noise levels.

• Requirement to switch between tasks of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
• May be scheduled as needed, including overtime.
