Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

Provides excellent customer service and service recovery. Responsible for effective and professional communication via telephone, patient call bells and face to face interactions with patients, families, visitors and staff. The Health Unit Coordinator is the hub of communication for the safety of the patient. Effectively multitasks which includes answering call lights, answering phones, maintains accurate computer skills, etc. Assists with unit projects.


What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Preferred Education: Courses in medical terminology preferred. Comparable experience and skills also considered.

Required License: None

Preferred License: None

Required Experience: No experience required

Preferred Experience: Previous experience typing or with computers preferred
