QUALIFICATIONS-The following qualifications are preferred to successfully accomplish this position:
A. High school diploma required. Associates degree in business preferred.
B. 1 year of payroll processing experience preferred.
C. Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications.
D. Excellent client service and communication skills
E. Knowledge of wage withholding orders and garnishments.
III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Responsible for collecting timekeeping information.
B. Summarize and verify the accuracy of timekeeping information from daily crew sheets, both digital and paper-based.
C. Obtain supervisory approval for timekeeping discrepancies and overtime requests.
D. Assist with various tasks such as new hire orientation, ticket processing, employee benefits, EDD documentation, and more.
E. Print, separate, and distribute paychecks.
F. Collect and file checks submitted from the field.
G. Address employee payroll inquiries in person or over the phone.
H. Assist in maintaining up-to-date federal and state regulation posters.
I. Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll records, employment verifications, and other employment-related matters.
J. Generate field labels upon supervisor request.
K. Collaborate with the payroll department to process sick pay requests.
L. Support payroll operations by assembling checks weekly.
M. Scan payroll documents weekly to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
N. Download and organize incoming probes for supervisors daily.
O. Print required field documents for supervisors.
P. Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
