What you do:
The Business Office Manager will provide support for the Finance & Administration team. They are responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for services completed by the organization. The Business Office Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining open, effective communication between facility and referring parties, consumers, physicians and third-party payers. Develop and Implement the Annual Plans for the Facility.
- Works closely with the Admissions Director to assist in the admission process for new admissions.
- Verifies insurance of potential and new admissions; completes admission contracts and scans them into PCC; enters admission information into PCC, and collects patient pay amounts as indicated.
- Serves as third-party insurance advisor to Department Heads for prospective and incoming residents.
- Cohesively works with DHS Outstation worker and manages Medicaid applications, renewals, and any issues that may arise. Verifies and delivers appropriate Medicaid letters to the resident and/or responsible party.
- Manages and reports the daily census to the appropriate personnel. Responsible for entering the daily census into the computer and balancing the census at month end.
- Facilitates AR meetings within the facility monthly and quarterly with the accounting team and more.
What you need:
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Must have three years of experience in accounts receivable and computer accounting system or related experience
- Must pay extreme attention to detail
