JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for carry out cleaning and sanitation activities in and around the facility grounds. This individual will be part of the Mission Sanitation team that strives to meet and exceed all regulations and lead the industry in food safety and employee safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out sanitation tasks per SOP’s.
- Some knowledge of GMP’s.
- Keep buildings, grounds, and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors with brooms, scrubber machines, scrapers, mops, squeegees, or compressed air.
- Maintain cleanliness of walls and doors using scrub brushes, scrapers, squeegees, hand towels, and pressure washers.
- Collect and dispose of all trash and recycling.
- The use of chemicals is required for the sanitation of certain equipment.
- The technician must be able to learn and understand dilutions, labels, and personal protective equipment.
- Perform other job duties as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Ability and willingness to follow SOP’s.
- Ability to lift or move 50 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, safely work near moving mechanical parts and equipment, and temperatures between 35 and 100 degrees.
- Ability and willingness to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, stoop, kneel, crouch, taste, smell, etc. as needed to perform essential tasks.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work and communicate with supervisors.
- Ability to accomplish and manage tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to be trained to use new equipment and follow new SOP’s as best practices are introduced.
- Willingness and ability to work various shifts according to production needs.
- Effective communication skills (bilingual preferred).
PAY RANGE: $15.65 - $18.75
